All appearances are illusory. If one sees that all appearances are not appearances, one sees the Tathāgata. (Tathāgata: truth; awakening)———- Diamond Sutra
Everything we see and feel with our human sensory organs is no more than a projection of our own desires and obsessions. What we perceive is not necessarily reality. Forms or appearances are ultimately just illusions. Skins on the surface morph constantly; inner spirits flow endlessly.
Where do we see permanence?
Where do we see immortality?
Where do we see reality?
Like the shadow of the moon in water, like the hallucination of flowers in a mirror, nothing lasts. They all fade away.
